TSF Sets Industry Standard for Signage at ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington

New state-of-the-art electronic message center to be installed by end of December

Kirkland, WA /prbuzz/  January 5, 2011 — Josh Holmes is part of the team that selected the companies to complete a crucial piece for the newest entertainment venue in the Pacific Northwest; the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.  Since opening nearly two years ago, the city of Kent and operator SMG wanted to install a full colored electronic message center mounted on a pylon at the corner entrance to the building.

“We solicited and received half a dozen bids to provide and install a digital video billboard and pylon,” said Holmes, Director of Operations for SMG and ShoWare Center.  “We awarded the contract to The Sign Factory based on their recommended technology, cost estimate, and track record of working with highly visible sports and entertainment venues.”

The single pylon consists of a round pole with a metal wrapping and a durable painted surface to match elements of the building’s exterior.  The pole is a little more than two feet in diameter, minimizing the impact of the pedestrian plaza.  The V shaped, two- sided design makes it possible for both ShoWare Center’s branded image and the upcoming events schedule to be displayed prominently to both vehicular traffic on James Street and guests on the plaza.

“Based on our relationship with watchFire, our full in-house services and expertise in sports and entertainment venues, we were able to dedicate some budget resources toward future upgrades,” said Jim Risher, President, The Sign Factory.  “As a result, ShoWare will have some flexibility for enhancements that were not part of the budget.”
