Holiday PR

Wow…it’s November!  Now is a good time to consider whether or not you could create holiday related content to help build your brand, increase awareness and attract new customers.  The holidays are often referred to in marketing/pr speak as a “news cycle.”  Let’s say for example that part of your brand promise is to provide information regarding healthy eating habits.  This topic could be difficult to write about and even share with local, regional and even national media during most of the year.  However, its definitely a topic of interest to both your target audience and the media during this “news cycle.”  In this case, it would be worth the effort to create some content such as “Top 5 Ways to Eat Healthy at Holiday Parties.”  You can easily post the story to your website, include in an email newsletter, post to social media pages and even share with target press.  On the flip side, I don’t recommend that you try to leverage this “news cycle” with non-relevant content.  It can do more harm than good and acutally has the potential to damage your brand.

Nice work Jeff! I would like to see a free download from you on the topic of PR for visitors. Maybe 3 to 5 pages.
