CBRN Professionals Committed to Helping Veterans Transition to Civilian Life
Team members offer help and employment at recent job fair at Joint Base Lewis-McCord
Tacoma, WA (September XX, 2010)—For the men and women serving in the U.S. military, the
transition to civilian life is often a struggle. Veteran Herb Gould and his team are determined to do
their part to help make the transition not so difficult. The CBRN Professionals website provides vital
information to benefits available at discharge and VA benefits for service members. The company is
also staffing booths at local job fairs to introduce discharged vets to the possibility of working in disaster
preparedness training.
“Our goal is to increase awareness, make contact, and match skill sets to identify potential new
employees,” said Spencer Wilkins, CBRN Professionals Team Member. “Having gone through the
transition to civilian life, I understand how hard it can be to re-enter an entirely different world. We
want to do everything we can to help make it a positive experience.”
CBRN Professionals was the most popular destination among the nearly 200 attendees at a recent
fair held at Joint Base Lewis-McCord. “We were really pleased with the number of vets that visited
our booth,” said Everlinda Dionio, CBRN Professionals Team Member. “We were able to share some
information about our work and provide free application/contact cards. As a result, 29 cards were
submitted to our pre-screen process, enabling us to better prepare for future hires.”
“It has always been my intention as a member of the private sector to provide for the needs of our
veterans,” said Herb Gould, Owner, CBRN Professionals. “The anxiety of leaving the military for the
unknown can cause significant stress. We hope our efforts through the website and these job fairs will
help take care of some of our own.”
Gould says he will be hiring some new employees soon. He also plans for his team to attend another
veterans’ job fair in November at the American lake Veterans Administration Hospital.
